Pima County Fair

It's that time of year again here in Tucson... The Pima County Fair. I have never been to a fair before, but I was excited to go after hearing everything that Mommy and Daddy had been talking about. Mommy was excited about the rides, Daddy was excited about the deep fried food, I was excited about everything.

When we got there we went right to the animals and the petting zoo. I had so much fun walking around and petting the sheep, goats, and donkey. There were a lot of baby goats, and some that were bigger than I were. It was fun touching them and seeing how they felt, nice and soft.

After the animals we went to get something to eat and Daddy was right, you could get deep fried anything. I saw deep fried twinkies, M&Ms, brownies, and even cheesecake. They had almost any kind of food you would want. I really didn't want any of the crazy food. I was happy with pizza and trying some of Mommy's Indian Fry Bread.

When we finished up eating we went to the rides. Now, I did not know what to expect. They looked good with all the different colors, but I did not know how to react when I went on my first one. Mommy took me on this car ride. I thought it was going to be this nice smooth ride around in circles, but it was not. The car started going up and down and it scared me pretty good. After a couple of times through, I began to enjoy myself. I did not want the ride to end and asked Mommy for more.

Instead of going on the cars again, Daddy took me on the merry-go-round. That one was pretty cool too. Again I went around and around and up and down. But this ride was a lot smoother and it was nice riding a horsey. I did a couple of more rides; went down a big slide, rode a pink elephant, and went in a spinning dragon.

All in all it was a great time at the fair. I can't wait for next year when I am bigger and can go on some of the big boy rides. I did have Daddy post all the pictures from the last 2 weeks on the webshots page. He told me that he started another page with all the pictures. Here is the link to check them all out, http://community.webshots.com/album/577393524xjQYxE. Enjoy.

I was a little unsure about that goat at first, but Mommy reassured me, and petting him was nice.

I thought that was Eeyore, but it wasn't. It was some other donkey, good look-a-like though.

Mommy was laughing, I was scared. Thanks for the moral support Mommy.

Look Ma, no hands.

I know, it is a pink elephant, but Mommy wanted someone to go with her. Daddy pulled rank and told me I had to go with here. The things I do for her.

Children's Museum, International Wildlife Museum, and Swimming

Howdy everyone. A lot has been going on around here so because of that I am going to be writing 2 entries tonight. And yes, Gramma, I will put pictures in each of them, don't you worry.

A couple of weekends ago Mommy and Daddy took me to the Children's Museum in downtown Tucson. We had never been there before, so we thought we would check it out. The day we went was free admission day, so we got to check it out for free. That place was awesome!!! It was a great place to play. They had a bunch of different rooms; police and fire, dinosaurs, under the sea, grocery store, hospital, vet clinic, and my favorite - TRAINS!!!

They had this room that was all trains. It was great. There was a train that went around the ceiling that I watched. There were train cars, there was a big train in the middle of the room to explore and climb on. There were toy trains to play with. There was nothing but trains in there. I think we stayed in that room for an hour just watching and playing with all the trains that they had there.

This past weekend, Daddy took me to the International Wildlife Museum. It was like a zoo but none of the animals there were alive. They were like big stuffed animals. They had animals of all shapes and sizes and from all over the world. They had giraffes, elephants, lions, and tigers, and bears (oh my). It was nice being able to be close to those animals without them moving.

Since the weather has been nice here, Daddy turned the solar heater on for the pool so we went swimming this Saturday and Sunday. The water was still too cold for Mommy (81 degrees), but not too cold for Daddy and I. We braved the chilly water with Charlie and splashed around having fun. I don't have any swim trunks that fit, so Mommy and Daddy just let me go in with my swimmer diapers on. It was so much fun.

In the next entry I will tell you all about the Pima County Fair and how much fun we had there.

Love,
Jeremy

Mommy and I at the Children's Museum, in the rain forest room.
I was chillin' on a couch at the International Wildlife Museum, with the big cats behind me.

Getting use to the water before I go all the way in.

Aw Dad, not when Mommy is taking a picture. How embarrassing.

The look of determination.

Easter Pictures

As I was writing my last blog entry, Pops emailed us the pictures from Easter. So Daddy has posted those pictures on webshots and I have put some of them below.

Thanks, Pops!!

Setting up Thomas and getting the trains going.
Nana made a quilt for the new baby. Mommy was modeling, it looked like she needed a hug.

Pops asked me if he could have some of my hot dogs, I said no way Jose.

Contemplating what to do next.

I see you taking my picture.

More Visitors and Easter

Quite a bit has happened since Uncle Jim was in town. So I will try to catch you up on the highlights from the past 2 weeks. Uncle Jim and Michael left on a Sunday, and that Friday, Grandma and Grandpa Taylor, as well as Aunt Katie, came to town to visit. Seemed like we were hosting the whole Taylor family at some point in March.

It was the first time that Aunt Katie was out to visit and like the 12th time Grandma and Grandpa have been out here. It almost seems like they come out quarterly to see me. But can you really blame them? I can't. It was nice having them. The weather was really nice and we were able to get to do a lot of things outside.

We took them hiking, we went to the Desert Museum, we went to Grandpa's malls, we did a lot of fun stuff with them. Daddy and I took them to Douglas Springs to do some hiking. Daddy threw me in the backpack and off we went. We went pretty far, far enough for Daddy to get tired. I had a great time with them and was sad to see them go. I am sure that I will see them again soon.

So Grandma and Grandpa Taylor left on Thursday and this weekend was Easter. We went up to Scottsdale to spend Easter with Nana and Pops. Again the weather was beautiful and we had a nice weekend up North. We got up there on Saturday and spent the night. The Easter Bunny left me a basket in Tucson and found me in Scottsdale too. I got 2 baskets!!! Aside from candy (I love Peeps!!!) I got some Thomas the Train Engine train sets. It is so cool to watch them race around the track. I could watch and have watched them for hours.

So unfortunately Mommy and Daddy did not take any pics when Grandma and Grandpa Taylor were visiting and they forgot the camera on Easter. So right now I do not have any pictures. Pops took a bunch of pictures and will be sending them to Mommy and when we get them I will post them on line. Daddy has updated webshots with new pictures. Some from us playing outside. Enjoy.

Love,
Jeremy

Beautiful day to play in the yard.
Yeah, I know that there is a cut on my forehead, but you should see the other kid.

I got this balloon at the grocery the day after Easter, for free. Oh yeah, free is good.

Here is my new Thomas train set.

Daddy caught me trying to take a nap after playing with my new trains. Hey, engineering can be tiring.
