Stay Classy San Diego

So I am sorry that I did not write last night. It was a busy day and I wanted to get some sleep for the car ride today. I'll get to the ride later, but I need to fill you in yesterday. We started the morning out heading to Coronado Island. Uncle Spirit and Aunt Amelie are going to be getting married there next month so Mommy and Daddy wanted to see where it was going to happen and they were looking at hotel rooms. The hotel that the wedding is going to be going on is really old, and a little creepy, but looks really nice. I have included some pictures below. We were going to go in the water there, but it was really overcast, the water was a little chilly, and I fell asleep.

After Coronado Island we went to La Jolla to see the beaches where the sea lions like to hang out. We got there around lunch time and La Jolla was really busy. So busy that Daddy could not find a parking spot. So we did not stay in La Jolla, we went back to the hotel so we could go swimming at the pool.

Now today, wow what a car ride. I expected another long drive, 7ish hours, but it ended being a lot longer than that. Everything was going well this morning, we stopped for lunch at Cracker Barrel, great food, but ran into a lot of traffic about 60 miles from Tucson. There had been a pretty bad accident by Picacho Peak that closed the Interstate down for 5 hours. It had just been re-opened about an hour before we got there. However the traffic was still backed up that we went 4 miles in 2 hours. So instead of us getting home in 6.5-7 hours, it took us a little over 9 hours to get home.

I am happy to be home. It was a great trip to San Diego despite the long ride home. We saw and did a lot of cool things and I cannot wait until we go back again next month. Daddy posted the pictures on webshot. You can click on this link to check out all the pictures that I could not post here http://community.webshots.com/album/573718934oFTGnB, Enjoy everyone.

Jeremy

Hotel Del Coronado, the future site of the Bredas-Messingham wedding.

Mommy and Daddy on the beach. I'd like to take credit for taking this picture, but it was not me. You will see why below.

Yep, I was sleeping.

Playing in the pool. I had a lot of fun.

Daddy was teaching me to swim, but I wanted to pose for the camera. In the end, it was a win-win situation. Daddy taught me and Mommy got the shot, with me looking.

San Diego

So I know that it has been a while since I last wrote. Mommy actually wrote the last entry. No worries though, my eye is doing a lot better -- no more eye infection. Yea!!! But I am writing this entry on location in San Diego, CA. Mommy and Daddy surprised me with a trip to San Diego so we could go to the zoo and the ocean. It was a long drive yesterday to get here, I didn't think the car ride was going to end. We got into town and found our hotel. San Diego is a lot cooler than Tucson, it was only in the 90's when we got in.

Today we went to the San Diego Zoo. The zoo is a lot bigger than the Tucson Zoo and is very hilly. It was a good thing that Daddy was pushing me, I don't think I could have walked that myself. I think he got a good workout in today pushing me up and down all the hills. Mommy and Daddy saw all the animals, I fell asleep half way through the day so I missed a lot of them. But I do remember seeing the giraffes, elephants, polar bears, and tigers, and a lot of different birds. The San Diego Zoo has this really cool sky tram that flies you from one end of the zoo to the other end. We took that for a ride this morning and it was a lot of fun.

Tomorrow we are going to head to the beach for the day. I had a lot of fun when were in Hawaii playing in the surf and can't wait to do it tomorrow. We saw the ocean last night when we went down town and it got me really excited to play in the water.

I tried to get Daddy to post the pictures from today in their own folder on webshots, but the Internet connection is really slow, so he was unable to post them tonight. They will have to wait until we get back to Tucson. We have taken a lot of pictures so far and I am sure that we will take a bunch more tomorrow. I have attached a few below just to give you a little something to look at. I hope that everyone is doing well.

Jeremy

Last night Daddy and I behind the San Diego Convention Center, where the Comic Con is going to be going on. Uncle Spirit is so jealous he is not here.

I don't know why Daddy was so happy, I was passed out. Wait maybe that is why Daddy was so happy.

Mommy and I ride a Hippo.

Mommy's favorite animal the Giraffe. This baby was born in the zoo in April. I think he is learning to walk like I am.

Taking a bath at the hotel. Not sure why this picture is turned, but I am too tired to figure it out. Good night everyone, I am going to bed getting ready for the beach tomorrow.

Icky eye infection

Jeremy already went to bed so I (Mommy) will be writing this entry for him. When he woke up this morning he had some nasty, thick, yellow discharge coming out of his left eye and I thought he had pink eye. I called the Dr.'s office and left a message for them to call back when they opened so we could get him in for an appointment. I had to work today so it was Robb's duty to take care of that, and he did a great job.

Jeremy got in right away this morning and the doctor said it wasn't pink eye, but some sort of viral infection that could spread to his ears, so we will need to keep a close watch on that too. They prescribed antibiotic drops to put in both eyes three times a day, which he hates, but is helping to clear it up already.

We will keep everyone updated on his progress. Hopefully it will heal up fast and not spread to his ears or his other eye. Send your healing thoughts his way for a speedy recovery! Thanks!

9 Month Doctor's Visit

Today I had my 9 month check up at the doctors. Driving there Daddy told me that I was not going to get any shots which made me really happy. Both the nurse and the Doctor said that was I getting really big and that I looked really healthy. The nurse weighted me and I am now weighting in at 22.7 pounds and am 30 inches tall. Daddy did tell me the next time I go in for my 1 year visit I will need to have shots. I am hoping that Daddy forgets to take me on my visit, so I don't have to get any more shots.

Mommy is working really hard with me to learn how to walk. I have included a couple of pictures of Mommy helping me walk. I really like walking around and I think I am really good at it. I think that I will be able to walk all by myself in a little bit if I keep practicing. Enjoy the pictures.

Charlie and Dee were showing me the way.

Then I passed them and they were lost. Suckers!

Mommy's Paint Job

I wrote yesterday that Mommy started painting the house the past few days. I managed to get a hold of Mommy and Daddy's camera and take some pictures. I wanted to share them with you before I head off to bed for the night.

Mommy has painted the front room, my bathroom, the kitchen, and the family room. I think she did a really good job and can't wait to see what she paints next. Enjoy the pictures.

Oh, also I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, my 9 month check up. So check back tomorrow to see how much I have grown since my last trip 3 months ago. Daddy promises me no shots on this trip. I hope he is right.

Love,
Jeremy

The front room is now a spicy cayenne color.

My bathroom is a cool aqua marine gem. It is a gem for sure. Thanks Mommy.

The kitchen is now a beautiful yellow.

A darker shade in the family room really looks great with the green wall. Great job Mommy!

Fourth of July and Monsoon Season Starting

So it has been a few weeks since we have been home from Hawaii. I am turning 9 months old in a couple of days, just celebrated my first Fourth of July with Mommy, and monsoon season is getting started here in Tucson.

The Fourth of July was great. Daddy had to work so I got to spend the day with Mommy. We had fun hanging around the house and painting the house. Mommy decided that since she and Daddy had been here for 3 years she might as well paint it so it looks like a home. I think that Mommy did a great job in the different rooms she painted. I was too tired to watch fire works at night, but I heard them, they sounded pretty loud.

The weather in Tucson is started to get hot, hotter than it has been. The news says it is suppose to be 110+ this coming weekend. But monsoon season has started and it has brought the rain. In the late afternoons and evenings we have had rain and thunderstorms around the area. Daddy says that they storms haven't been too bad yet, and that we should get better storms in a little bit. Daddy says that tornado season is better, I hope that one day I can find out.

I am working on crawling still, but am not having a lot of success. I like to roll on my side and work it like an inch worm to get to where I need to go. Mommy has started to help me wall. She hold my hands and I have been taking steps to get to where I need to go. I think that I am also starting to get teeth. I like to put everything in my mouth and I am drooling all the time. So maybe shortly here I will have some teeth that will help me eat my big boy food easier.

Below are some pictures from the Fourth of July and from the teething sticks Mommy like to give me. They make a big mess but they are really good. Enjoy.

Jeremy

Rockin' my great Fourth of July sunglasses.

I let Mickey inspect my glasses to make sure that they were legit. Oh, and they were.

Charlie and I were involved in a great game of tug of war.

These things are awesome.
Look Ma, no hands!
