2 Year Anniversary

Today is Sara and Robb's 2 year anniversary. It is hard to believe that it has been 2 year since they tied the knot. Time has really flown by, as it has been a great 2 years. They have been blessed to have a healthy family, a baby boy, and great careers. They are spending the evening together with Jeremy enjoying each others company.
Today was also a day to clean up from the Christmas holiday. Sara and Jeremy spent the day packing up the Christmas decorations and returning the house back to normal. When Robb got home from work, it was his job to move the boxes of decorations up to the attic.
We are getting ready for New Year's Eve, looking forward to starting a new year with Jeremy. Robb is looking forward to watching the Blackhawks game as they play in the Winter Classic against the Red Wings in Wrigley Field on New Year's Day.

Christmas

Merry Christmas from the Taylor Family. We apologize for not posting for a few days and keeping you in limbo since Christmas morning. But we have had a busy few days. We have included a number of pictures of Jeremy and the rest of the family for your enjoyment.

Jeremy was allowed to open one present on Christmas Eve, and he picked a good one. Jeremy received the book, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, from Charlie and Dee. Which if you look at one of the pictures below you can see how happy and excited he was about getting that book. He was so excited that he got up early on Christmas to open the rest of his presents. So Sara and Robb got up at 7am to help him with the rest of his gifts. His other favorite gift came from Santa who put The Dark Knight in his stocking.

Sara, Robb, and Jeremy stayed in Tucson on Christmas day, and spent the day as a family trying to start new family traditions. The afternoon the Taylor's went to one of Sara's co-workers house for Christmas dinner. They called it an early night and went home to pack for their weekend trip to Grandma and Grandpa Doubek's house in North Scottsdale.

The weekend was great in Phoenix. Jeremy had a wonderful time with Grandma and Grandpa, but he was too tired from opening presents the day before that he missed opened presents with them. Sara stepped up and opened his presents and it was Robb's job to make sure that all the presents, along with Sara, Jeremy, Charlie, and Dee all fit in the car for the drive home. On Saturday, Robb and Sara went to downtown Phoenix and was one of the first people to ride the new light rail system that was years in the making.

Oh, one last picture and comment. We were able to have a white Christmas here in the desert. Friday afternoon in Scottsdale it started snowing, not a lot, but enough to cover the ground. Jeremy was sleeping when it started, but he enjoyed looking at it when it had stopped. Enjoyed looking at it from the warmth of the inside. Enjoy the pictures. We hope you all had a great Christmas or Chanukah.

Almost Christmas Time!!!

Christmas is almost here and the excitement has been building around the Taylor household. Jeremy is starting to get into the Christmas spirit by dressing in his holiday gear and wrapping presents for his parents. He is making sure he sleeps a lot now, so he can get up early on Christmas morn and awake his parents to open gifts.

Sara has been busy preparing the house for Christmas. Making sure that all the decorations are in the right place, the gifts are placed neatly around the tree. She is also baking Christmas cookies to share with family and friends and to make sure we have the perfect cookie out for Santa Claus when he stops by.

Robb has been busy with work and also helping with Christmas preparations. He has been taste testing the cookies to insure that each batch is cooked to perfection, especially the batch made for Santa. Just like always, Robb is still scrambling for some last minute gifts, trying to find the perfect present for his lovely wife and his perfect son.

Dee and Charlie are excited and confused about the new decorations around the house. What is this big green tree doing in the house and why are there lights all over it? Why does this box smell like a rawhide and why can't I get to it?

The count down is on and it is only a matter of hours until Santa Claus comes for Jeremy's first Christmas. We hope that you all have a wonderful holiday and get all the gifts that you asked for.

With love,

Robb, Sara, Jeremy, Charlie, and Dee

Robb's Home

On Friday, Sara and Jeremy waited patiently all day for the arrival home of Robb from the frigid north of Minnesota. Despite a small flight delay he landed a little before midnight. Jeremy was so excited that he could not stay awake and slept through Robb's arrival. Sara was very happy to see Robb as she was at her wits end from a long day with Jeremy.

The first weekend the family had together was a great time to run some last minute holiday errands and a chance to relax together. Jeremy's favorite thing to do is sleep, so he did that, and did that well. Sara and Robb worked on things around the house, holiday decorations, snacks and food, and wrapping Christmas presents. Jeremy received his own Christmas Stocking from Grandma Taylor during Thanksgiving. Here is a picture of all three stockings, a family made, and Taylor family holiday tradition.

Here is one last picture. We realize that it is not Halloween, but we have one last picture of Jeremy dressed up. Robb picked up a Poison T-shirt while he was in Minnesota and since we are all fans of Bret Michaels we decided to dress Jeremy up as Bret Michaels. Jeremy decided to give us his motorcycle look as we snapped pictures. Notice the binkie, we know, it makes him look bad-ass. Enjoy.

Christmas is almost here!

Jeremy and I are all ready for Christmas...we are just waiting for Robb now. The presents are wrapped, the house is decorated, and the tree is up and shining bright. Jeremy is very excited about Santa Claus coming next week, and I can't blame him. He is going to be a very spoiled baby!!!

Robb gets home on Friday night and will be home with us for 2 weeks before heading back to Minneapolis. We can't wait to spend some time with each other. We are going to enjoy Christmas together here in Tucson and then head up to my Dad's the day after Christmas for the weekend. The only thing we are missing for Jeremy's first Christmas is some snow--although it is snowing up in the mountains as we speak. Supposedly there is almost a foot of snow on top of Mt. Lemmon. We would drive up there and see but you have to have chains on your wheels to get all the way up. Hopefully next year in Chicago Jeremy can enjoy some snow for Christmas.

I'm sure we will be posting more often when Robb gets home, since he is pretty much the one in charge of this thing anyway. We will definitely have lots of pictures to share of Jeremy in his Santa hat and PJs. Keep checking Webshots for new pictures. Merry early Christmas!!!

TGIF

Today was a nice and relaxing Friday for both Jeremy and I. We got caught up on things around the house and prepared ourselves for a visit from my friend Erin. She is getting into Tucson tomorrow and will be here with us until Tuesday. We are really looking forward to having her. She hasn't been out to visit since we moved here and has never met Jeremy, so it will be a fun time. I think she is most excited about the warmer weather and lack of snow! Hopefully it will stay nice for her trip.

After Erin leaves, Jeremy and I only have 3 days to wait until Robb gets home for Christmas!!! We are so ready to have him home, even if it's only for a couple weeks. Definitely better than spending it alone. Robb and I will be celebrating our 2-year wedding anniversary while he is home and he supposedly is working on a surprise for me. I can't wait to see what it is!! I can't believe it's been 2 years already...seems like yesterday. Except that we have a baby now...ha!

I took a few pictures of Jeremy today and uploaded the rest of them on the Webshots page. There are also pictures from Thanksgiving on Webshots, too. Enjoy!

2 Months Old

Sorry for the lack of posts lately. I was pretty sick this past weekend and am just starting to feel better. Thankfully, Jeremy has not gotten sick and hopefully will not get sick. Robb was able to come home for a day on Saturday but ended up taking care of me and Jeremy, so we didn't do much but watch football. It was definitely good to see each other, though. He will be home for the holidays on Dec. 19th, so we are really looking forward to the 2 weeks we will be able to share together.

If you can believe it, Jeremy is already 2 months old! We had his 2 month well check at the doctor's this morning and he is doing great. He got his first set of vaccines--3 shots in all--and I heard a scream come out of him that I had never heard before. It totally broke my heart, but he did really well. I gave him some Tylenol and he has been resting for the majority of the day. He is in the 90th percentile for both weight and height. 13 lbs 1 oz and 24 inches long. He's a big boy!

We are going to work on some Christmas shopping tomorrow and the rest of this week. Jeremy is very excited about Christmas and can't wait to see what Santa will bring him!

Catching up

I'm so sorry I haven't written in the past week. Jeremy and I have been very busy. Last Wednesday we flew to Chicago for Thanksgiving, where we met Robb. We were able to spend some good quality time with Robb's family until we flew back to Tucson on Monday night. Thanksgiving was wonderful and Jeremy had a great time seeing all of his relatives. I think everyone was equally happy to see him. Unfortunately, no turkey for him--but maybe next year!

Now Jeremy and I are focusing on Christmas. He helped me decorate the tree and hang up stockings. This afternoon we are going to head out and do some Christmas shopping, and then later tonight we will wrap presents. Tomorrow night Robb is flying in from Minneapolis. We are really looking forward to having him home, even if only for a few days. He flies back Sunday afternoon...short but sweet visit.

Jeremy is still smiling up a storm and "talking" when he is happy or interested in something. He is the most talkative after he eats and has a fully belly and clean diaper. We have this undersea activity gym for him that he just adores. I put him under there and he will talk to himself for a long while. There is a beach ball he can kick now (his legs finally reach it!) and fish rattles he likes to hit with his fists. There is also a mirror that hangs above his face and when he sees himself in it he giggles--it is so cute.

Anyway, here are some pictures from our trip to Chicago last week. Enjoy and hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.
